VOLUNTEERS FOR THE HISTORYMAKERS BENEFIT

The HistoryMakers is a national, 501(c)(3) non-profit institution committed to preserving, developing and providing easy access to an internationally recognized, archival collection of thousands of African American video oral histories. We are seeking Volunteers for our third annual fundraising event An Evening With Ossie Davis and Ruby Dee on October 18, 2002 at the Art Institute of Chicago. Since The HistoryMakers archive is intended to educate, inspire and motivate, this year we have added an educational component: Meet The HistoryMakers: A Day of Education. It will be held on Thursday, October 17th at the Wyndham Hotel. This day is dedicated to teachers, librarians, high school and college students. This fundraiser is our most important of our year, since the proceeds go entirely to support our archival endeavors.
